Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory
Turning off at Manitowaning along Wikwemikong Way will take you to the first nation community of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
Wiikwemkong is an unceded Indigenous reserve in Canada, which means that it has not "relinquished title to its land to the government by treaty or otherwise.

South Baymouth
Back on Hwy 6 continuing South you will end at the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry Terminal in the community of South Baymouth

Heading from Providence Bay along route 551, turn onto route 552 for Spring Bay. Spring bay is a tiny rural hamlet

Mindemoya
Leaving Spring bay along Route 542 you will head towards the Community of Mindemoya on route 551. Mindemoya is the 2nd largest retail based community on the Island (Little Current being the first)

Kagawong
Turning Left at the Ojibwe cultural centre onto Hwy 540 will take you to the community of Kagawong, known as
"Ontario’s Prettiest Village" and it is one of the oldest settlements on Manitoulin Island

Leaving Kagawong turn right back onto Highway 540 (just past the Carter House). Turn right onto Highway 540B to enter the town of Gore Bay
