Goals & Objectives
The goal of the Manitoulin Culinary Advisory Group (MCAG) is to promote food tourism for Mnidoo Mnising/Manitoulin Island. The organizational structure aims to ensure 50% of the participants on the committee are indigenous. The goal of MCAG is to highlight all things culinary on Manitoulin Island from growers to producers to experiences across all seasons.
There are the four objectives:
1. Identify all culinary or culinary associated businesses on Manitoulin Island
2. Promote culinary experiences that are being offered by our clients (the culinary businesses on Manitoulin Island)
3. Increase understanding of food tourism needs and help our clients collaborate in a range of food & beverage opportunties.
4. Identify where our customers need assistance to help grow their businesses and provide them with opportunities through stakeholder workshops and/or training they identify.
5. Provide a tiered membership opportunity for our clients to provide marketing synergies across all culinary clients that will provide consistency in messaging relating to the Manitoulin Culinary Tourism opportunities
